How-To Tips and Ideas
IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER: While the concept behind this site is promotion of an idea and resources for grassroots use of a "guerilla marketing" and "viral marketing" techniques to promote discussion of a candidate and important presidential campaign issues, we strongly encourage and advise the users of this concept to be law abiding, responsible, and respectful in the implementation of the ideas described, and use of resources presented on this site. In the end, each of you must decide upon the risks and consequences of your own actions, and be willing to take personal responsibility for them.
Prepare a Set of Labels
Step 1 Download the PDF appropriate for your label size, (and with either the issue of your choice, or a random mix of messages) and print out a test sheet or two from your inkjet or laser printer (Color is preferred, but ANY printer will create acceptable stickers).
Step 2 Remove the label sheet border and move the two center-most labels and placed them on top of the lower sections of labels (this won't hurt the other labels because the adhesive is REMOVABLE!). This helps you turn an unwieldy full sheet of labels into separate sections of labels.
Step 3 Cut the labels into separate sections with a paper cutter or scissors (or even fold and tear the backing sheet). This typically gives you nice purse-or-pocket sized sections of about between 5 to 8 labels each (depending on the type of labels); perfect for carrying around and available for quick access and "Stick 'Em Up Everywhere" tactics.
CREATIVE IDEAS on where to CARRY your stickers!
Don't use a purse or wear shorts with convenient pockets? Then try one of these ideas:
- Carry a book with you and "stash" a small panel of stickers inside! (You can reposition additional stickers and make the panels small enough to fit within even the smallest of paperback books.)
- Or, carry a folder or notebook and you can use larger labels or even carry full sheets, any will easily accommodate one or more sheets of labels... make extras and put them in the various notebooks you use daily at work or in school.
- Keep a supply in your car's glove compartment (Great for "sticking up" on the pumps and paper dispensers at gas stations).
- Stash a small pack of labels in your backpack, briefcase, or laptop case, or somewhere else handy: great for quick-access for the many "creative" places you encounter in daily movements around the world.
Timid About Sticking up IRP labels in public?
So, you're an avid Ron Paul supporter, but you're timid about pasting IRP stickers up everywhere?
The solution is simple; practice in your own house, apartment or dorm room.
Note: This works especially great if you don't live alone! And helps promote Ron Paul's issue points to your [stubborn?] housemates. (And once you've had enough practice, you can stop doing it at home -- and even "recycle" those stickers -- that way they shouldn't get TOO annoyed with you!)
Put a panel of labels in your pocket in the morning, and then resolve in your mind that whenever you are in a new room or situation in your home, you WILL pull the stickers out and you WILL put a sticker
somewhere in that room:
- Finished washing your hands? Then stick one on the bathroom mirror.
- Eating dinner? Paste one on the ketchup or mustard bottle.
- Grabbing a glass of juice or water? Put one on the Fridge.
- Turned the lights on in the kitchen or living room? Stick one on the light switch panel.

- Making microwave popcorn or some other food? Put one on the microwave door.
The point here isn't to waste stickers, or to cover your own house with them, but rather to get over your timidity and get in the HABIT of putting up stickers almost constantly, and pasting them in places you might not normally think of... that's what we're going for... Ron Paul EVERYWHERE.
Ready for the Big-Time? Pasting them up in public!
We suggest you start small -- with the same kind of objects and locations you've been practicing on at home. As you gain confidence, you can grow bolder and more creative.
- If you've been putting stickers on light switch panels and the bathroom mirror... well put them up in the same way when you visit a the restroom at your local restaurant, coffee shop or other venue.
- Experienced at labeling bottles of ketchup? When you next go out to eat slap an IRP sticker on your table's bottles (or napkin holders, menus, etc.)
- Gotten used to putting them up on doors as you enter or leave rooms? GREAT! Have one handy as you enter or leave a store or other business... and surreptitiously slap one above the "IN/OUT/PUSH/PULL" sign.
- Pumping Gas? Put one on the pump while you're filling up (it's usually so full of labels anyway! What's one more REMOVABLE sticker?)
- See another poster or banner somewhere? Make it more valuable in an instant -- add a small IRP sticker to one or more of its corners!
- Get your friends involved. We find there is some inherent "Tom Sawyer" or "Huck Finn" aspect in just about everyone. (Even people who aren't huge Ron Paul supporters can be enticed to get in on the fun!)
- Help people AND promote Ron Paul at the same time. Buy some cans of soup, boxes of cereal, or other food goods... then put IRP stickers on them and donate them to your local food pantry. NOTE: This is the one and ONLY time we would advocate using "permanent" (aka "non-removable-adhesive") labels.
- GET CREATIVE We're certain as you begin doing this, you'll find yourself getting more and more creative... and you'll soon be finding yourself scanning for the best places to stick-up even more IRP labels. It gets to be FUN, then it gets to be a literal BLAST!
