NEW! "Got Supporters?" Meetup Maps Shirt...

That's right, we've turned the popular "Comparison of Candidate Meetup Maps"
from a web page into an EXCELLENT wearable campaign tool.

Now you can not only show YOUR support for Ron Paul, but that his support spans the nation, and blows the competition away! Get your own from CafePress!

The shirt itself tells the story...

The FRONT has the phrase "Got Supporters?" above the snapshots of the Meetup maps for the four "Media's Favorite Republican Candidates" (Rudy, Romney, McCain and Huckabee) showing their relatively poor and localised volunteer forces.

Meanwhile, the BACK answers the question with the Bold and straight-forward "Ron Paul Does!" over an enlarged snapshot of Ron Paul's Meetup map) which is virtually covered by the over 1,000 group red-markers!

But for the more extroverted supporter, you can explain the meaning of the maps in a more emphatic manner similar to that described below:

How to "Shirt Convert"...

Begin by just talking with someone face-to-face -- your shirt front towards your unsuspecting "victim"...

After bringing the subject around to the election, you can "tell the story" about Meetup groups, asking if they have heard about Meetup.com, etc. Explain that the RED markers represent organized groups of volunteers, and the WHITE markers represent people who are "somewhat interested" in helping, but do not yet have a group.

Then walk them through each of the 4 "frontrunner" or "Media's Favorite" Republican Candidates; saying that "despite what the TV says" about them...
  1. Giuliani -- Far from being a true front-runner, Rudy has rather pathetic volunteer support (I mean ONE group? with SIX members? in New York City??)
  2. Romney -- Continue on to Romney pointing out that he has 3 times the number of groups as Rudy,
  3. McCain -- And on to McCain, who is doing even better than Romney with 4 (very good considering McCain's campaign only began using Meetup a few weeks back)
  4. Huckabee -- Then appear to finish with Huckabees [apparently] overwhelming number of groups (66+) and phenomenal recent volunteers...
Then simply stop and ask them: "Despite what the polls and TV pundits say, who does THIS show is the REAL leader out of these 4 candidates? Who really has support?"

The obvious answer is Huckabee! (You can lament the fact that the media focuses so much on "polls" that obviously do NOT reflect people's REAL support. And that they disparage Huckabee because, unlike the other 3 candidates you've discussed, he doesn't have much money. Then you set them up for the close... you ask them if they have heard about Ron Paul? Did they hear about the $4.3 Million raised for him by his voluteers (in 24 hours!) on November 5th? Or that he has over $13 Million total in the last two quarters?

Emphasize that THAT means (unlike Huckabee) he now has as much or MORE money that the "frontrunners"! So now that he has the money, if only he had the kind of support Huckabee has... Ron Paul would probably win!

Then to "close the sale" you simply have to turn around and show them the BACK of the shirt (which shows a LARGER Meetup map, completely covered by the Red Markers of the Ron Paul organized meetup groups).

You can normally hear their jaw hit the floor with a resounding "thunk"!
Most people will even read out loud the statistics: 64,327 Members, 1,119 Groups, 12,146 Events so far!

Congratulations, you have just successfully removed the "But can he win?" question from your new friend's mind! So, go ahead and... well, you know the rest!

So, what are you waiting for?
Order a "Got Supporters?" shirt for yourself via CafePress NOW!

NOTE: It takes some practice, but we've been using this method successfully in our area since November 5th, at first with paper prints, more recently with the "proofs" of these shirts. They've been a RESOUNDING success -- VERY effective on local elected GOP officials, as well as Republican and Independent voters in general!
